Update Firmware

The TeraStation rmware can be updated using the procedure below.

If the procedure in "Update Check Settings" (page 63) or "Check for Updates" (page

64) is used, use the download service on the Bualo website (bualotech.com) to

download the rmware. When the downloaded le is double-clicked, the le is

extracted, and an HTML le containing the update procedure is automatically

opened. Follow the instructions in the displayed HTML le to check the rmware

le.

Notes:

• TS-HTGL, WS-QL, and WS-VL series TeraStations do not support this feature.

• If using an older rmware version that does not support BN-ADT/NAS, update the

rmware using the procedure contained in the manual for the respective device.

In the Map window, right-click the TeraStation and select TeraStation

Functions - Update Firmware.

Select the rmware le and click Run.

Next, follow the on-screen instructions.

Notes:

• When updating, do not turn o the power for the computer, device, or hubs and

switches on the network.

• Never attempt to access any les in the device during the update process.

• In some cases, it can take considerable time for the update process to be

completed, but always wait until a message is displayed.

• When using a wireless connection, in some cases, the rmware may not be

updated normally due to the wireless conditions. If possible, change to a wired

connection before performing the update.

• The update may fail if multiple network interfaces are connected to the computer

performing the update. Disable the interfaces not connecting any devices before

performing an update.
